Prayers for Stan...
Hi All,
I talked with Judy earlier today and she said that Stan has been having incredible lower intestinal pains for days. When she returned from her trip to Atlanta, she turned right around and took Stan to UNC Chapel Hill's ER because he was doubled over in pain. He has been admitted to hospital and they are considering surgery.
Please keep Stan and Judy in your thoughts and prayers as we hope for a speedy and gentle recovery from whatever is ailing him.

What a nice post!!! Thank you for thinking of him!!! He had surgery yesterday for a bowel "twisted like the stripes on a barbers pole" according to his doctor. While they were in there they also removed the gall bladder. Everything was repaired, and he was in good spirits this morning except for being a bit tired and a bit tender. Hopefully he'll be home tomorrow. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.
Judy,
I'm so very relieved to hear that his tortioned, twisted bowel was identified and resolved. It's not a common complication, but does happen once in a while. I'm so glad that you had the presence to take him directly to the ER; guys always want to wait to see if it will get better and obviously that would not have gotten better without intervention.
Please let Stan know that we are wishing him a gentle and speedy recovery.
Much love,
Barb and Ben
