I have date, Can I really do this?
Hello everyone.
This is my first post, but have been lurking for several months.
Got word today about approval and scheduled date (11/23/09)
As to be expected I am thrilled and scared at the same time if that's possible.
My fear is not about the surgery, but more about if I can stay the course post-op. I am usually very gung ho the first few weeks of anything diet related and then the boredum / lack of progress syndrome kicks in ( You know the "not tuna / chicken / salad again) thing.
Can I really feel full after eating such small quantities of food? I really don't want to be botheredwith the calorie counting thing. Can you suceed with just portion control and health choices?
I got to 300 not so much by bad choices as it was enormous amounts of food at meals.
I am also known as the condiment king so I imagine that will have to come to an end.
I guess what frighten's me the most is most of the poster's I've read really don't seem to talk about how much trouble it is to give up carbs / sweets etc. I dred that in the worst way, how do I overcome this aprehension and go forward.
Thanks,
Mark
