adventures in Greenville today!

I enjoyed seeing the group at McAllister's today for lunch.  It's always great to share a laugh with others who know exactly what you're going through.

After lunch Paul and I went to Goodwill to see if I could find some clothes for fall.  Other than the things Sandi gave me to wear, I have nothing to wear for cooler weather in my NEW SIZE!  I'm now a 1X 18/20 from the waist up and I'm in a 2X or size 22 from the waist down.  That's life as a pear-shaped woman.

Goodwill was not a pleasant experience.  There were screaming, screeching toddlers all over the place.  My hubby's attention span was spent after 5 minutes.  And I HATE the way they have all the sizes mixed up!!!  I did manage to find 1 knit top and two nice sweaters in beautiful colors.  But I couldn't get out of there fast enough.  My next stop was My Sister's Closet, but I couldn't find anything I liked in my size that fit right.  They had very little in my size.  So, I ended up at my favorite place, Catherine's!!   I had a scratch-off coupon for 30% off that I got in the mail, plus I used my "Perks" card AND I got 5% more off for putting it on my Catherine's card.  I spent about TWO HOURS trying on clothes and had a BALL!!  I spent a TON of money too!!!  Essentially I had to buy an entire work wardrobe for fall:  slacks and tops.  I love Catherine's!

I am glad you had a good experience at Catherine's.  I love buying new clothes too.  The Goodwill is annoying with everything just arranged by color.  Makes it easy for them and tough for the customer.  I hate shopping at the one here in J'ville.  It smells like cig smoke and I never find anything.  I quit looking and just shop the sales at other stores.
I was going to try to make the Greenville meetup but I didn't pay attention.  I saw that they were meeting at 11:30 when I went on OH at 11:24.  UGH.  I thought it would be nice to do that and then see Trevor at ECU.  Well, he was home this weekend anyway.  Maybe next month!

So glad you were able to find some things.  I also tried My Sister's Closet but didn't find much.  I went to the mall and actually went in American Eagle - because I can now - but won't again.  I just didn't care for their clothes.  More teenager-y stuff plus the sweaters were $39.50!  So I went over to Belk and bought a sweater for $20.  I tried on some pants in a size 10 and could get them buttoned but they were very snug but they buttoned.  That made me happy.

It was really good to see you guys yesterday.  I love those get-togethers!!!
