Home and doing well
Thank you to everyone *****membered me in your prayers and special thanks to Buggyboot for checking on me and encouraging me.
I am pleasantly surprised at how well I am doing. I got home today. Trying some protein samples. The chocolate was not too bad but some others are not too good. I will be on clear liquids and protein drinks only for the next two weeks. Ugh!
I am not hungry but when I see food I still would love to have some. I know all in good time.
Thank you to all of you who share on this site and answer questions. You were all a big help to me in knowing what to expect. My left upper quadrant hurts right much, I guess that's where they did the most work. But it's not unbearable. Hurts more when getting up and down.
Hope the weight starts coming off. I am not going to weigh until my 2 week check up. My fingers are swollen so I feel like I have retained some fluid and I don't want to be discouraged.
I am sure ya'll will be hearing more from me with questions in the future. Thanks again for being here.

It is not the magnitude of our actions but the amount of love that is put into them that matters.

Welcome to the Loser's Bench! Be sure to sip, sip, sip and walk, walk, walk.
If you haven't done so already be sure to get front, back and profile photos and full body measurements, then do it once a month. It will really help as you try to get your head around the incredible changes your body will be making over the next year or so.
Congratulations!

Hey Jackie, so glad to hear you are at home and doing well. I am so glad everything went well, and I am soooo glad Dr. Naziri was able to do your surgery. That was a blessing for you. I can say I am only 3 weeks out but I wouldn't want to trade places with you. The soreness seemed to linger. I am glad the soreness is finally letting up on me some. Before you know it we will both be back at work, going to lunch and sharing a plate. Won't that be fun? The first couple of weeks chicken noodle soup strained (broth only) became my best friend. It helped me get fluid in, it was a salty taste vs. sweet which seemed like everthing was sweet, and the warmth felt wonderful to my pouch. Even now that I am eating, I still have some once in a while especially if I didn't get enough water in. I have still to accomplish getting 64 oz. in a day. Haven't reached that goal yet, but I am trying. Well, I know how the first few days home are, lots of napping and so forth, but when you feel up to it and get bored, give me a call. Would love to chat with you. Take care.
