My legs continued....

Yesterday I had a long appointment having ultrasound done on both my legs.
After the test I had to see the doctor who ordered the test.
He told me he had good news and bad news.
The good news is my viens are working fine pumping blood and there were no clots.
The bad news is I have classic lymphedema in both my legs.
This I already knew and have know for years.
I just never knew what the name was till I started donig research on wls.
I am being refered to a lymphedema clinic again but the one they want me to go to sounds like they can offer me much more than the first therapist I saw.
So if there is a silver lining in all this that is I was able to walk to all my appointments at the hopital by myself.
Some of the places I had to go to where a long way from each other an I have to say it felt so good to be able to walk to each of them.
My weight has stayed the same since I saw the doctor at the Vein clinic.
am going to keep going ahead and staying the course.

Little Buddie is doing great he is sleeping on top of my knee as I type.

Well...my wt loss has been on hiatus for the past 6 months.  I have been working 60 to 65 hours per week and traveling quite a bit with work and a week ago stepped on the scale and had gained 5 lbs....so.....back on the bandwagon.   I am lost 1/2 of that and need to be more diligent.  I also need to get serious again so i can reach my goal.   I am having a lot of problem with my hip (birth defect) that was dormant for years and have an ortho appt.   Been walking but then up all night with pain cuz we can't take anything and tylenol doesn't touch it.   I see my ortho tomorrow and hopefully he can figure out what the heck is going on.  On the positive side, I am walking a few miles a day when he weather allows and can walk a mile in 20 minutes.  I need to find more time to get here as y'all have always been my inspiration!

Love you,

Pam

Thanks for sharing Pam,
I am still not in Onederland but I am staying the course and will be seeing the plastic surgeon on Wednesday.
As my surgeon said I have lots of extra skin and not to mention the edema in my legs.
I feel wonderful and am grateful for that.
Pain is a hard thing to deal with.
I had a endoscope done a month ago and they found many ulcers at the opening to my pouch.
I am on meds and it seems to be helping.
I was having things get stuck alot now not so much.
I went by the store today and asked Lee what he wanted for dinner.
He wants to grill steak.
I bought some sprimp and said have your steak but I am going to have shrimp.

I eat a lot of chicken.  Still don't do well with beef.   I eat a lot of lean cuisines to and favor ones with 20 g protein.  Skin removal will probably let u lose a lot more mf.

I will try to get on more.

take care and love u, Pam
