I went into the meeting room today at work to speak with some co-workers before the day started.  I looked at the chairs trying to find a free one that had no arms.  I finally realized that I  could fit into any chair there!  After losing almost 140 lbs, I no longer have to look for armless chairs.  Another  wow moment for me.

Not only do the chairs have to be armless - I bet you're not worried about sitting down and breaking them. That was always a fear of mine pre-op. It seemed like picnics were the absolute worst. either the chair would sink into the ground under my weight or those flimsy plastic ones would just buckle and semi-explode.

Same here.  now I just worry about the loose skin.  But that is a trade off I am willing to make.

Congratulations!!! I think that the sum total of all of these WOW's is as big if not bigger than the dramatic numbers on the scale or tape measure because they are truly the measure of the quality of life we have regained.

Enjoy!

That is so true.  It is what we experience that can make or break a day.  I have found that my experiences are all a little "lighter" since WLS.  It just makes me smile.

Woohooo! You go girl. Thats what I am looking forward too. At only 23 lbs. lost I can already fit in places better, so I am sure it only gets better. Can't wait to see what it feels like to have lost 100+ lbs. Way to go!

It may feel like it is taking forever to get there but it happens quite quickly really.  Now that I am 8, almost 9 months out, it seems like it has not been that long ago since I had the surgery.   23 lbs is a great start.  You are in for many changes.  Enjoy.
