It's official - cancer x-post
Sending many ((((((Hugs))))))))) So sorry to hear your news. I know from my own experience with cancer and that of my DH that the initial news is really hard to deal with. You are a very strong woman and you have a loving family who wants to be there to help take care of you. Please let them do that. I'd love to come by and see you if it's ok. Just PM me and let me know. I work there at PCMH and I can come by early next week after you've recovered a bit.
You are in great hands there at the Leo Jenkins Cancer Center and PCMH. That is where Ronnie and i both had our surgeries and treatments. The people are wonderful and have your best interested at heart.
I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
God Bless! Alice

I'd love to have a visitor! Just don't be offended if I nod off. I'm told I'll be sleeping a lot!
Our daughter is going home Sunday, unless the wheels fall off during surgery on Thursday. (She'll be back to help during radiation) Our DIL goes back to work on Monday. I'll be alone at the hospital during the day until I am released.
Which is really OK with me, I am taking 4 books and I love to read.
I refuse to have people missing work to just sit with me!! I have a notebook to write down everything the doctors and nurses tell me, and everything they do to me.
I hope they will release me Friday afternoon, earliest. OR any afternoon, early evening really. Then it is easier for someone to pick me up and schlep me home!
