Daughter moving to Raleigh, NC

HI there.  My 22 year old daughter and her boyfriend are moving to Raleigh, NC at the end of this month.  We know nobody there!  They will be staying at the Woods of North Bend, sight unseen of course which really scares me.  If anyone is close by and would like to give us a hand moving what small amount they have or to just have a connect in the area it would be great.  Is there a Wal-mart near by? I want to get them gift cards but don't know what stores are here that are also there that I can get for them.  Eventually I want to move down there to but can't do so right now.  Please feel free to send me a message if you have any thoughts or suggestions on new-comers moving into the area.  Thanks so much.  Sharon

There is a WalMart about 3 miles away at 1725 New Hope Church Road, Raleigh NC. There is a Target that is probably closer and definitely nicer at the North Hills Mall.

There is always a Walmart and Target near by. =)   There is also a TJ Maxx pretty close if they need home stuff cheap.

I highly recommend a GPS!!  We got ours last year.  Just one of the cheaper ones but it's been great.  And I have lived here for years.  There is so much do to & see here. 

I don't know anything about Woods of North Bend but it's in a pretty nice area.  It's busy but that's great for them. Plenty to do!

If they work out, the gym I go to is opening a new location very near there with a pool.  Let me know and I can get them a free trial pass.

Good luck with the move.  I love Raleigh!  It's a great area.

We are moving to Raleigh the end of next month. We were in the area in July and visited thos apartment complex. Very cute, I am sure they will like it. We are moving into a place close to there near Lake Lynn. There is a lot to do in the area and plenty of stores around including Wal-Mart and target as the others have mentioned.
