OMG... I did it....

I scheduled my LBL!  I am still numb I think.  I went for the consult this morning with my DH and with his encouragement, I scheduled the surgery for Nov. 24th.  Thank God I have always been very conservative in using my sick leave; I could take over a year off and never come off the payroll.  There is a company called CareCredit that has a promo going right now; no interest for 12 months!  SO, I applied online and was instantly approved. 

I also got an estimate for taking care of "the girls" which I'll do later in the spring.

Just had to tell somebody who could appreciate what a major step this is....

WOW!!! Did you ever think that your journey would include plastics? It's amazing how many changes we go through.

When I started this journey, I just wanted to be healthy and feel good about myself.  I have accomplished those 2 things.  I have been stable now at 142-144 for about a year now.  I'm happy at this weight, but not so happy when I see the loose skin and drooping butt and of course "the girls" are so small my DH jokes with me about shopping for training bras.  I know he loves me no matter, but I want to do this FOR ALICE and nobody else.  I feel like somehow this journey will not be complete until I get these 2 things done.

wow.  I just was doing some looking online today.  Do you mind if I ask where you are going?  How do you like what you have seen so far?  I am guessing it is good or you wouldn't have continued with the process.  I am not ready yet but I am looking.  I have 30 lbs to go and then I want to maintain for a bit.  How far out are you?  Eeeek it is all so odd and exciting.

Hi Sandy, I am going to Dr. Lynne Garrison at Greenville Plastic Surgery.  I've  known her personally for 11 years since I work with her husband who is an emergency physician.  I know several of her patients and they have all been very pleased with the work they have had done.  I've seen the results first hand and I was amazed at how great the incisions looked.

I am almost 2 years out and will be 25 months out by the time I have the LBL.  

I'm very excited about this next step and a bit nervous too.

Thanks Barb.  I don't know about being a HOT MAMA, but I think I'll feel more comfortable in my reduced skin!
