I Like to Shop!!! Who knew...

Ok, so I used to hate to shop for clothes.  It was tiring, sweaty, and frankly a chore I absolutely despised.  Not to mention when you are extremely large, the options available in the clothing arena are limited at best.  Then there's the overwhelming cost of clothing for obese people.

Fast forward 18 months post WLS.

I am a clothes hound.  Who knew.  My clothes have been feeling a little loose lately so on a whim, I went to Wally World to try on a new pair of duds.  Imagine my surprise when I slipped into a 36 pants.  I was  speechless.  Then I tried on new shirts.  Large size even in the smaller cuts.  Wicked.  Then I found the Walmart clearance rack.  Folks, I cleared the clearance rack.  :-)  I bought new undies, short pants, shirts, dress slacks, and more for a mere $100, all of which in my old life, would have cost me easily $300-$400.  Now that's cool.  Can't wait to hit up some of the nicer stores soon.

Oh yeah, finally get home and decide to weigh in after modeling my new duds for the wifey.

2 2 5 lbs

Although my personal goal is 199, my dr. set a goal of 225 lbs for me while factoring in body type, and the excess skin factor.  That's down 238 lbs in about 18 months.  Next stop 200 here I come.

Good for you!  I bet soon your wife will want to take you out and buy you clothes.  Kind of like dressing up a Ken doll.  You look great.
