Moment of Pride for CMC-Northeast!!!

I'm not only a patient of this facility, but a proud nurse who works there!  This is an e-mail that employees recently received regarding our Center of Excellence certification:

"Our site survey for the Bariatric Center of Excellence is complete.  These are comments from the site surveyors:  

• Your center is "At the top of excellence."
• Your center has the highest number of Certified Bariatric Nurses (CBN) of any we have surveyed.
• Your bariatric program is extremely well structured and very well organized.
• Notebooks are organized with all documentation and materials presented well.
• Senior Management support evident throughout facility. 

  One of the comments that made me especially proud was "I would like to be able to report the passion. enthusiasm, pride and dedication I feel from each member of your team I have had the opportunity to meet today.  Unfortunately, I can only report what I find in regards to the requirements."  (Judy Crouch, RN, MSN, APRN, BC, CBN, Surgical Review Corporation Senior Site Surveyor)"

Dena, I live in Charlotte, but I've been to CMC-Northeast three times (my last visit was a few weeks ago) and all of my experiences were absolutely stellar in comparison to my Charlotte hospital experiences.  I can definitely attest to the passion and dedication of the staff, and I was blown away by the renovations; it really lifts the spirits to visit a visually appealing hospital when you're not feeling so great.  

Anyway, just wanted to say I'm glad this hospital continues to get the recognition it deserves. In the future, I won't hesitate to request CMC-Northeast as my hospital of choice whenever possible.

Thanks!  It's great to hear it from patients.  We do know that you have many options in this area for hospitals, and we strive to make ours one that makes you feel cared for if you or your loved ones need to be in the hospital.  We are growing by leaps and bounds, but I think that we do offer a small-town atmosphere here, and that really makes you feel welcome when you're in our house.  I'm proud to work there, proud to tell others that I work there, and most definitely proud to choose to go there when I need to be cared for myself.

HORHTEAST has definatly grown up a bit since I was last admitted there for care.and that was about three years before I left NC.I can only imagine what has happened to it in the last 8yrs that I have been back in NY.
Oh by the way I am going to be a GRANDPA again in April of next year (Amber again ...THANK GOD)

Congratulations on a well deserved recognition! Dr. Bauman did my surgery on July 20th at CMC-Northeast. The care was excellent. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Bauman and the staff!

Congratulations on a successful site survey!  I had my RNY at NEMC last December - in fact you were my favorite nurse!  You were such an inspiration to me to see your own personal success and I was blown away by your weight loss.  You gave me hope that my procedure would be the tool I needed to regain control of my life and weight loss.  Thank you!

By the way, I will be 10 months out on Friday and have lost 152 pounds - half of my body weight and 8 pounds under goal!  NOW just trying to stabilize!!
