Using a Food Processor
So sorry about the steak issues Annie. I am lucky I suppose (and unlucky in a way), my pouch is very forgiving and loves steak, actually my pouch loves just about everything. Only time I have trouble is if I eat too fast.
As for steak, I try not to eat it too often even if the pouch says its ok. Steak stays in your system for days and its just too much fat. I admit though, I do indulge every now and then, nothing like a good grilled juicy steak.
At this stage in the WL game, especially as your volume limits increase, I really wish that more foods gave me trouble. It would help in forcing me to make the right choices all the time. Unfortunately, when your pouch is forgiving, it makes the later stages of weight loss even more difficult since you have to depend on the early lessons learned right after surgery. High protein, low fat, and good carbs, not to mention exercising regularly, avoiding grazing, and yes, even watching portions.
Even though Bubbles and steak will never be friends, you have other options. Have Lee throw you some chicken or fish on the grill (grilled fish is awesome), and when you get the urge for some beef, have some of those beef jerky nuggets that seem to work well for you.
See you soon,
Dalton

Thxs for your insight and advice Dalton,
In fact I keep thinking about try a Turducken LOL have you ever had one?
Chicken especially ber can chicken does very well.
As for the jerky had some today no problem.
I feel I am able to accept no steak even tho Lee is a butcher.
In learning to accept life and my pouch is knowing I chose to have wls and it is ok.

Oh yeah, turducken is a must do. Although I havent had it since I had surgery, but I don't think it would be a problem since I do well with chicken, and its basically, well all chicken. Its a lot more moist than regular chicken, so should go down easy. Just be careful, there is a little bit of rice stuffing in the bird, and some WLS'ers might not want the extra carbs and some just don't do well with rice.
