Trying to get on the band wagon

Hi Shay!
Nice to meet you. I would say that Wendy is right. Some people get to a point where they really love exercise. To be honest, I am over two years post op and that hasn't happened for me. That said, I wear a pedometer and move my tail at LEAST 10K steps a day and earlier this evening I was upset about something, but instead of marching my tail into the kitchen to have a nice warm, devil's food cupcake drenched in chocolate frosting, I took my behind outside, cleaned out a flowerbed and planted 3 Knock-Out Roses. I don't like exercise and I don't like gardening, but I like the results of both, so I do it anyway. I have to tell you that since I'm not carrying an extra old lady around with me anymore, it's a lot easier to do those things.
You are right about the fact that you are going to need to move if you want to keep the weight off in the long run, but I think you may find that it won't be nearly as difficult for you to do that next year as it is right now.
Wishing you all the best,
Barbara
