OT: my soap opera life...

I still can't believe that it's been a year since my surgery. I posted on another board earlier and described a bike ride as glorious - ME? EXERCISE?? GLORIOUS????? Who is this woman that I've become. So much has changed and I'm incredibly grateful for all that "life" has brought my way. I know I've kept yall entertained with my ramblings about David for the past few months. The saga continues.

Since we've been together - We've bailed my sons out of jail (both of them at least once). We've endured both of his kids having head lice (twice). We've both had major car breakdowns. We've survived the out of town friends and family camping out with us so they'd be near the beach. Lengthy visits fromthe ex-wife (yes it's possible to be friends with them if no other reason than to make things easier for the kids)  And now.......................drum roll please..............chicken pox!!!!! In the middle of Serena's birthday party yesterday afternoon - I noticed what her Mom said was bug bites. Then I questioned last week's unexplained temperature. Yes friends a beautiful full blown breakout. Poor thing - at least they'll be completely out of the way for the start of kindegarten next week.

And just think - had I not started dating, I'd be in the middle of packing up both sons for school. My nest would be empty. Somehow the empty nest just doesn't sound as appealing as it once did. Oh well.

I am so glad you are living life and being happy, and having someone to share it with good and bad.
I hope I will start to like exercising more after my WLS.
Thanks for keeping us up to date.  Jackie

It is not the magnitude of our actions but the amount of love that is put into them that matters.

Hi Iris,

I'm sorry to hear about the bug bite/chicken pox, but I'm glad to hear that it will have run it's course before school starts... Can you imagine how hard starting school with that would have been.

Congratulations on your lovely, full life!
