Travel tips needed
Lee and I have not flown in over 9 years.
Since then many changes have occured.
I have heard to pack small sizes of lotions and potions in plastic bags wear no belts and be prepared to remove your shoes.
I am going to walmart today and going to look at some slip on and off shoes possibly get some Mules I have avoided wearing mules because I feel I need a sturdy shoe.
Wont know till I try them out.
I am not worried about the walking and changing planes like I was many years ago.
What I worry about is...taking my shoes off and once I go through the scanner will I be able to sit down and put my shoes back on?
Some of this fear is old fear that just sorta lingers.
Any advice would be great.
What about taking our laptops with the power supplys would this cause an alert going through the scanner?

Hi Annie,
For the travel size 3oz or less plastic containers that need to be in one zip lock bag-these are only for things that you need to carry in your purse-like lotions and anything else. I also put my lipstick or balm in the bag. All your other personal items can just go in your luggage and those don't have to be 3oz or less.
In my travels, the airports (I was just in Orlando 8/5-9) do have places for you to sit down and put your shoes on. So don't worry about that at all. You could wear those peds if you don't want your feet to touch the ground when going through security. You won't have to take your shoes off until you are almost at the bin area-getting ready to put your items in the bins and on the conveyor belt.
If you use a certain shoe to walk I would go ahead and wear that pair, because there is nothing like trying to break in a new pair of shoes and your feet are hurting! lol
You can take your laptop, just know that you will have to take it out of the case and put in in a bin, nothing will happen to it going through the scanner.
If you have a sweater or jacket on, they will ask you to take it off also and put it through the scanner.

In fact as soon as I got to my car I put them on so I can get used to them.
