When will things taste right???
Wow! Congratulations on losing 40 lbs! I have not had my surgery yet but I have read others posting about this. They say it has to do with being ketotic by losing so much weight so fast and not having as many carbs. This happens with the Atkins diet also.
People have said it does go away but I don't know how long it takes. I think drinking a lot of fluid helps get rid of it, also.

It is not the magnitude of our actions but the amount of love that is put into them that matters.

Hi Karen,
When I was experiencing very rapid weightloss in the beginning of my journey and going through 'ketosis' I had some issues with having a 'bad taste' in my mouth, but that abated with time. I haven't found that things tase any different to me, but many people report that they do. I have noticed that I notice sweet, fat and salt more readily now, but I think that is just do to not overloading my palate with too much of a good thing all the time.
Congratulations on your phenominal weight loss.
Wishing you continued success,
Barbara
