a very real problem for a former SMO person

I saw Dr. F today he was very pleased with how I looked.
The scales have gone up 3lbs in the past year.
His concern is the extra skin I swim in everyday and my lymphedema.
Also he scheduled me to have endoscopy on Thursday.
He looked at me and smiled and said "My Goodness You Have Lost Well Over 400lbs"
So I am scheduled to also go to the Vascular Clinic and Karen contacted plastic sugery to see why I never heard anything back from PS after my appointment in January.
I dont feel like I am a failure I know how great I feel and I know how very determined I am.
So my journey is not over.
Many of you have never weighed as much as I have and I am finding some of the damage may or may not  can be taken care of.
I am very proud of where I came from and where I am today.
If I am able to have the skin removed OMG I cant even imagine how I will feel then.

Annie,

I'm glad to hear that you are doing so well. I'm glad that you posted about your journey and you are so right about it not being over. I think that many of us think that our journey has a final destination... Now that we are a couple of years out, I'm not so sure. I think that the destination we thought we sought was losing the weight, but now I think it's keeping it off and developing a healthier lifestyle for the long term.

As the saying goes, 'You've come a long way baby!"

Wishing you continued success as your journey continues.

Annie,

I don't know that a particular size or even weight is as important as regaining our health and our quality of life. You've done both of those things, so you can only consider yourself outstandingly successful!

Hey Annie:

So glad to see you are doing as great as usual and have that great attitude.   I have been so busy with work and traveling for it quite a bit.   I have been stuck at 203 lbs for 5 months and while i have 53 more lbs to lose, I am very happy with where i am.   I don't seem to have your dedication to exercising and with all my travel, I don't eat like i should.   I am going to try and make a dedicated effort again but this little reprieve hasn't been all bad.

I love you my friend and am so glad to see you are doing so well.

Love, Pam

I had been caring for my mom before she died on July 15th, which is why I hadn't been there. I'm grateful for you too!
