Disneyworld Update...
Had a pretty cool FART (freaking awesome really terrific) (aka WOW as the ladies call it). Just 2 years ago on our first trip to Disney, I had to ride the little go cart everywhere, couldnt really walk far, or have much fun with my kid and wife. What a difference dropping 230 lbs can make. Not only did I ride EVERYTHING on my second Disney trip this week (coasters and all) and fit comfortably (even in the little tea cup ride), but I realized I was able to walk thru turnstyles without slipping thru sideways. I ate at restaurants and didnt worry about fitting in a booth. (Yes I indulged, but I did so responsibly and made sure that I exercised each morning to help burn those chocolate covered bananas off). I never thought about what people were thinking about the 'fat man at the amusement park' because he wasnt there, or at least it wasnt me this time I enjoyed being able to move (and did I move,,, my pedometer clocked an amazing 71 miles walked in the last 7 days). And I don't sweat anymore, it was 100 degrees in Orlando and there I was, trotting away, doing my thing, and never really breaking a sweat. Just one year ago, I would have been asking for oxygen and sweating buckets. BTW, Expedition Everest and the Seaworld Kraken rock...
Well, i just wanted to share a little of my good news. I do hope and wish you all the same successes I have been so fortunate to reap from the WLS. And if your reading this post and still on the fence about what to do because your unsure it will work, HELLO. I am living proof that this procedure works. While the decision to have this done is a truly personal one, don't procrastinate about it because you are unsure if you will be able to do this. Make your decision and move forward with it. And if you decide to do this, follow your program and in 12 months, you'll be riding those coasters just like me.

Cool FART!!! LOL Very inspirational. I've had my wow's too. Like you, I can fit in a booth at a restaurant, can bend over and tie my shoes, can walk without huffing and puffing, am now in a size 18W clothing (from 24w) and I'm sure I'll be able to sit in a plane seat without having to squish someone next to me. This is just the start of something big.

I must admit when I found out about your trip to Disney I thought "why would anyone go to Disney in August".
I am thrilled to read you had a great time.
I have also noticed I have not suffered as much this summer as I have in summers past.
Tonight we are all going to Matts to celebrate his 25th wedding anniversary the boys will be grilling should be intresting.
.
It will be great to see you and the family next Saturday I look forward to it.
BTW if you havent seen the Torchwood mini series check it out!!!

What an inspirational post. I am almost 2 months on this incredible journey and like you one of my goals is to go to an amusement park and be able to ride the rides. It SUCKS when my daughter is afraid to get on a ride and I can't say mommy will ride with you because I know I won't fit. I truely hope next summer the story will be different and maybe even enough for some things at this year's state fair. Thanks for the hope that this goal will be realized in time. Congrats on your success!!!
Dalton,
Thanks so much for sharing your wonderful experiences... They truly are inspiring.
Wishing you continued success, health and happiness.
