weight loss in mexico.

Has any one been to mexico to get weight loss. Ive came across dr ramos kelly, In Tijuana. Just tryint to find some patients of his or some sort of info. thanks

I went to Dr. Ortiz in Tijuana for my lap band.  That was nearly 2 years ago.  I PERSONALLY know 6 others who have gone to him.  We are all happy as can be.  Lost LOTS of weight and never had a problem.

He and his staff are great.  The facilities are wonderful.  I go back once a year to be looked at under fluoro.  He also started Fill Centers USA with some others, so US patients can get fills here without hunting for a DR.

He is the ONLY Mexican doctor I have any personal knowledge of, so the only one I would recommend.  Some others may be cheaper, some others may be better advertised, but I had a friend who went to Dr. Ortiz and recommended him. I then did LOTS of research and decided he was the BEST one for me. Since then, we have all referred friends, and they are all happy, too.

HI thanks for the reply and info. I will definatly look in to Dr. Ortiz.  As im not looken for the cheapest but affordable like others who have gone to mexico. If u dont mind me asking, how did ur family react to havin surgery in mexico. I kinda briefly mention it to mine, and they thought i lost my mind.

Well, we already knew someone who had it there with Dr. Ortiz, so they were OK with it.

Dr. Ortiz has literally done THOUSANDS of bands.  He has been doing them for many years before they were approved in the US.

Mine cost $8500.  My precious daughter paid for mine.  Some of our friends went when he had a 'special' for $7500.  That includes, being picked up at the SD airport, room at the Lucerna Hotel for you AND your friend, the surgery, a night at the clinic, then another night at the hotel, and a ride back to the SD airport.

It was the best decision I ever made.  Good luck.
