3 weeks out
went to my post op visit with dr. chapman on tuesday. i was down 17 pounds since the visit 1 week before surgery. he was very pleased. Because i have been steady losing weight since last november and only have about 65 pounds left to lose, he told me not to be disappointed if i don't lose anything between now and my next visit on august 28th.........at which point i will get my first fill. i have been reading on these boards for 2 years, and know that stalls are just part of the game. but i had not prepared myself for the disappointment i would feel. i haven't lost anything since the end of the first week post op. i lost 7 pounds the week before the surgery, and 10 pounds the week after surgery, and nothing since then. he constantly reminds me that the less you have to lose, the slower it will come off as time goes on. realistically, i know things have to slow down and "catch up." but it is just so disappointing to not see those scales move.
everyone at work has been complimenting me on weightloss. i have even had several to ask me how do they go about getting the surgery for themselves.
sorry this was so long............i am just having a "blue" evening.
take care!

Congratulations on the weight loss. "Slow and steady wins the race."
