Check out the bird in my new avatar Sheryl!
Great hearing from you and thanks for thinking about me.
Yesterday I noticed something totally new for me and that was hunger OMG I wondered does this happen after two years po?
I made a healthy choice of a snack I was on my way to my mom's house and bought a small bag of popcorn not the snack I would normally choose because not much protein.
This morning I woke up feeling hunger again.
Drank my soymilk and protein powder and that about does it LOL fills me right up.
Hope you and Rex are doing well.
I havent worked for FL in almost 1.5 months they are cutting lots of hours but the demo company is keeping me booked with demos.

Annie,

Love the new Avatar! You're doing wonderfully girl!  When are you coming to our area again?

Try not to give in to the carbs if you can help it!!!!   I didn't have much hunger when I was 2 years PO... most of mine came after I had my hysterectomy when I was about 4 years PO, but let me tell you how bad it is!  I have an appointment with my WLS Doc on August 31st and I'm going to get kicked in the butt I'm sure!  I've gained about 25-30lbs back in the past 3 years - I can't get a grip on it and I'm scared!  I have been trying to go back to the basics (protein first, veggies, not drinking while I"m eating...)  It's not as easy now that I have Rex in my life.  Not blaming him at all, but I cook for both of us and I"m cooking a lot differently because he is a "country boy"  through and through...  I know EXCUSES!  Anyway, sorry for venting... ugh!

Rex and I are doing good...  he's still working at FL and even though they have cut hours, he's still working around 36 hours a week or more.  He is a hard worker and they keep him busy so he's not complaining.

Anyway, keep in touch!  Talk with ya soon!

Hugs!

Hi Sheryl,
Personally I think something is going on with the pouch not sure maybe an ulcer.
I have emailed my surgeons nurse to schedule an appointment with me I just need to know if everything is alright and a good time to have my labs done as well.
I am extremly accountable as far as my food intake goes.
That head hunger is a *****
I limit my carb intake and really work on boosting my protien.
Wish we could come see ya and your chickens we are staying pretty close to home for now.
We have only taken the boat out once this year.

I hear ya...  We're staying close to home too, but I did go to San Diego a couple months ago - that was fun.  I have a doc's appt on the 31st and we'll do labs then, I'm going to talk to him and see if he thinks there is something going on with my pouch as well, I don't think it's all my undoing.  I started keeping a journal on Monday and I am not eating the way I should I know.  It is definately making me more accountable.  I've done pretty well today with less carbs and more protein.  My vitamin intake is great, I don't miss those!  Head hunger is killing me, that and working nights and eating to try and stay awake between 911 calls or "hot" calls...  Anyway, I wish we lived closer, would love you to see the chickens, guineas, ducks, ****ateils, cats and my pup...   Keep me posted on your "ulcer" and if they find anything else out.  I lurk about once a week so I'll check out your posts too..

Hugs girl,

Sheryl
