I don't know about you but I get into a rut with breakfast and just eat the same thing...but this is so simple and just so yummy...I had to share.

The blueberries are in season and are so sweet!

Blueberries
Low fat Granola cereal
Dannon Light and Fit Yogurt (I like the vanilla they now have Dannon Light and Fit Carb and Sugar Control)

It is like a treat...I look forward to it.

Breakfast is usually the hardest meal to come up with something different for me.  Let me know if you have a good tip.

Take care,

Ginger

Try using GREEK style yogurt instead.  It's super rich, creamy, and has more protein than regular yogurt.  Before stirring in your blueberries add some Splenda, Benefiber, and a bit of unflavored protein powder (like Unjury brand).  Beat well with electric beaters, then stir in your blueberries.  I make a big batch and eat on it all week for breakfast.  Sometimes I sprinkle on Kashi Go Lean or Kashi Go Lean Crunch too.

I discovered a few days ago that the Greek yogurt makes a great base for a condiment for Salmon.  I mixed dill, mustard, pepper, and lemon juice with the Greek yogurt and used it as a sauce for my broiled salmon.  It was absolutely delicious!!

Another great quick breakfast is a scrambled egg, nuked in the microwave.  It only takes seconds.  When it's about half done you sprinkle on some cheese and let it melt as the egg finishes cooking.

Eggface had a great idea for quickie omelets.  Mix all your omelet ingredients (scrambled egg, ham bit, sauteed onion and pepper, etc.) and spoon into muffin tins.  Bake until they're done.  Cool them and pop them out into a ziplock bag.  Each morning pop a couple into the microwave to reheat and you have a protein packed breakfast that takes only a few seconds.
