Moving in the right direction

Well, I'm pretty excited.

I finished my 6 month insurance-required medically managed weight loss with my Dr. Today I had my first appointment with the surgeon, well actually the NP. Going for my nutrition, psych, & lab work-ups in the next two weeks. I feel comfortable with the surgeon and have chosen the hospital that I want to have the surgery in. 

Seems like I'm moving along the highway to some positive changes.

Looking good! I'm interested in getting the lapband done by dr.Enoch. Haven't been approved yet.
Could you give me some insight about your experience so far. from the beginning, how was your surgery?  Did you have a good recovery, how fast are you losing the weight. Have you had any issues or complications with band or port?

Thanks for the support, everyone. I'm hoping to get to one of the support groups in the near future. I know several people who have had both gastric bypass and lap band, and they've done so well. With hard work, I hope this works as well for me.

I see that you used Dr. Enochs. I've chosen him as well. I'm very impressed with all of the good things I hear about him. So far I've met Lisa Long and Dr. Bruce.

Thank you so much for the support. It seems like it's all going really fast right now. Hopefully I'll be able to be scheduled right after Labor Day (wishful thinking?).  Going to NY for the holiday to see the kids and my new grandson's hopeful arrival just before the holiday weekend.
