My First WOW moment
We all know how hard it is to put our socks and shoes on when we were at our heaviest. I, myself, put them on in my bed with my knee angled just enough to get them on and tied. Today I had an doctor appointment and the doctor said "OK, get your shoes on and I'll get you that prescription". My heart was pounding because I knew how difficult it was to put those shoes on. It was awesome! Not a problem to get either socks or shoes on and so easy to bend over in the chair to tie them. As I finished tying them, the doctor walked in. I held my finger to my mouth, going sssshhhhhhh. I said, "I'm having a WOW moment." He laughed and congratulated me.
May all you WOW moments be as great as mine.

Hi Judy,
While watching the scales drop and the measuring tape do it's thing is exciting, I think it's the cumultive total of WOW moments that helps us keep the weight off. I guess what I'm saying is that the WOW moments are really the realization of incredible quality of life improvements we find as we travel this incredible road we are traveling. For me, it's maintaining that improved quality of life that DRIVES me to maintain my weight. Those WOWs are more important than the number on the scale or in my waistband. I guess it's because they are more 'tangible.'
Be sure to keep track of those WOWs.
Wishing you continued success,
Barbara
