Living life to it's fullest!

I just wanted to give a little update on myself. I have lost a total of 241 lbs and 137". I went from wearing a size 34/36 to a 12!!! Yes I said 12. I bought a pair of capris this past week and they were 12's. I can't believe it. WLS was the best thing I have ever done for myself. I don't regret it at all. Sometimes I miss some foods but nothing tastes as good as this feels. I have experienced so many new things and have so many more I plan on. I can go to a club and not feel like the token fat girl. I can go on the boat or the beach and not feel like everyone is looking at the beached whale.I still have areas of my body that I am not happy with but after a trip to the plastic surgeon's office last week, I learned I will have to learn to live with the extra skin. I couldn't believe they wanted to charge me 10 grand for removal of skin on my legs. That's alot to have a scar from top to ankle for life.

I haven't posted alot lately but I try to read atleast once or twice a week. At first I wondered why people do that but I think now I see that after you lose some weight and realize there is a whole world out there waiting for you, you become busy and have a hard time finding time. That doesn't mean I don't appreciate the site and all the comments and info you can recieve here. To all the new people I hope that you are ready for the journey of a lifetime. This is simply amazing.

Thanks for listening
Melissa

Good for you! So happy to hear that your doing well. You photos are amazing...a true transformation :) You must be so proud of yourself!
As for the the plastics...sometimes a necessary evil with this huge change our bodies go through. It is expensive and sometimes the scars are not worth it...only you can decide.

Best Wishes!

I,too, looked at your pictures and it's amazing how much you have changed. I would love to live at the beach! Your pictures on the sand and near the water are so good. Your sons are precious, too. So cute!
It's good to hear that you are happy with your surgery and that you are active and enjoying your life. Thanks for taking the time to update and inspire. Jackie

It is not the magnitude of our actions but the amount of love that is put into them that matters.

Melissa:

Get Barbara C. to do a side by side pic for you unless you can do it yourself. I would like to see that! The transformation is unbelievable. Although I do believe it cause I see it....lol. Your transformation is amazing! Super job! Did you ever imagine that you would be this thin?
