Just dropping in to say hi

Annie called me on the carpet for being gone lately, so I thought I would drop by and say I am still alive.  I have been staying so busy with all the things I can now do, working to make sure I get in the protein and water (protein was upped to 120 from the 70 minimum I did have because my tests came back low), and trying to learn some stuff for a website I have taken over that I don't make it into forums lately unless I specifically think to go and check on someone.  Today I am sidelined, actually would rather go back to the couch than to be sitting in a chair right now because yesterday I suddenly found out I was very constipated and I have been more a couch bound person than not since then.  I finally know wht my 14 year old son has gone through his whole life, and it is not good at all.  I am taking colace twice dayried an enema, drinking nonstop right now, anything I can do to try and break up the mass in me and be able to live life again.
Other than being temporarily sidelined, I am doing well.  I am a slow loser, but can live with it since I am losing and am below what I was 15 years ago when I got pregnant with my youngest.  I am now on synthroid and it has helped.  I get to enjoy doing yard work, have one heck of a container veggie garden going in my backyard even...just went to Chicago a couple of weeks ago and got to enjoy a Cubs game for my other sons 18th.  I will say that if I had gone to a game at Wrigley before surgery, I am not sure I would have fit in those seats!  We have taken a trip to Pigeon Forge and enjoyed Dollywood back in May.  I had no problems going and doing everything I wanted and had the energy to keep going all day!  I love this surgery!!!

Anyhow, need to get going and make some good use of my time sitting here.  I just wanted to say Hi before Annie sent out a possie to look for me.  I hope everyone is doing well, and one of these days I will take some time to do some reading and get caught up :-)

OMG Saprina it is great to see you post.
BTW my pcp told me to take Miralax every day and it really helps I never miss a day.
I just have discovered cold cereal again .
I put a small amount in a bowl and cover it with SF LF flavored yogurt the extra fiber helps too.

How wonderful you got to go to a cubs game.

As far as gardening I am doing the Topsy Turvey containers.
So far so good except when the deer come by to nibble.

Once I can get this thing out of me finally, i can then go shopping and see what kinds of yogurt and things we have.  Doc prescribed colace for us, but I hadn't been needing it.  Not sure how this suddenly happened when I thought I was doing ok on bathroom trips, ugh!

It's great to know that you're busy LIVING!!!! (even if you're sidelined for a few days). I'm amazed by the amount of energy that I have now and the way it sounds you're "suffering" from teh same problem.  What a great problem.

Keep us updated occassionally. we love success stories.
