BCBSNC

I have bcbsnc blue options and was wondering how long the approval process takes? My paperwork was turned into the ins. company on Tuesday 7/21. When should I expect to hear something or should I call?

 

I called them in 3 days and they gave me an answer. It was another week or so before I got my letter..

Same here, I think I heard in about three days!!

I have BCBSNC but Blue Advantage (insure myself).  Has anyone had any experience with this.  I have heard that the blue options is very easy to work with though.

My wife and I both had WLS and BCBSNC.  About a week for her and about 5 days for me.  Not to get you too excited, but...I've never heard of anyone going thru the motions at the surgeon's office and then get turned down by BCBSNC.

I was approved the same day it was submitted! My hospital is a Center Of Excellence for Bariatric Surgery. Apparently that makes a difference.
