Go back to your basics. Protein, Protein, Protein. Water, Water, Water.

My weight loss has stalled since around February. At first I was very discouraged BUT I think I needed the time to really wrap my haed around how much my "EVERYTHING" has changed. I didn't recognize the woman in the mirror. I would hold up clothes that I was folding and think "Who's is this?" or  "Great - now the dryer has shrank my favorite sweater - now what will I wear?"

Now is the time to put into action all of those things that we've been learning (how to eat, what to eat, when to eat, Exercise, etc). For me the "honeymoon" isn't over. I refuse to believe that I'm finished losing. Now it's time for me to work my tool. You can too.

Keep focused on why you had this surgery in the first place. Even if the scales aren't moving maybe your measurements are. I know my clothes size has dropped even when the scales haven't moved.

Good Luck!!!! You can do this.

As another poster stated, back to basics Protein, Protein, Protein, Water, Water, Water.

Track everything you eat and be sure to get in your required calories, protein, fluids, & vitamins.

If you snack, make sure it is a healthy snack and be sure to stay within your caloric intake range!

I try to eat between 5 and 6 small meals a day but I still struggle to get in my calories each day.  I found that tracking what I take in and spreading my protein out over the day really helps me a lot.  I'm continuing to lose and the number has increased in the last couple of months since I started truly tracking everything I put in my mouth.

Hope this helps!

You had your surgery a few days after I had mine.  So, we're at about the same point on this journey.  I ALWAYS had an appetite, from the moment I left the hospital.  Yep, I was hungry on my way home from the hospital!!  Can you belive it!!??  GEEZ!!  However, my appetite is not nearly what it was before the surgery, I'm hungry a lot less often, and I get full so much quicker now.  I don't tend to crave things as much either.  Something my nutritionist told me pre-op has really rung true throughout this journey:  Carbs make you hungry.  Since I started adding more carbs I find I am more hungry later on.  So, keeping carbs to a minimum seems to be the key.  I bet you'll find it's the same for you.  If you tend to want to snack in the evening after dinner (like me), make sure your dinner is very, very low carb.  See if that helps.  Good luck!!  And thanks for posting this.  It's good to hear that others have issues and we can help each other like this.  It's reminded me to watch my carbs too.

I never really lost my appetite either, and I slowed down around the same time you did however even though you may not be losing pounds the inches are still coming off, dont get discouraged just yet, drink plenty of water and make sure you get in your protien trust me that does make a difference. It will start up again and you will be surprised, we all go through that and some at different stages. Hang in there Im sure you're doing great! Just be patient.
