Aetna insurance question

This is my first post ever, but I have been lurking for a few months.  I have been going through all of my pre-submission appointments and the insurance submission has finally been done.  I have Aetna and I was wondering what other experiences everyone has had with them.  How fast do they decide?  Are there extra hoops I am not anticipating?

Also, I think that my pre-op jitters are starting a little earlier than expected.  I thought that might begin when I had my date, but it is getting a little bad now.  I absolutely know that I want to do this, but I am just a bit nervous.  Anyone else have an early bout?

thanks

I don't have Aetna but I can say I was a wrec****il a few days before my surgery.   It was almost as bad as the hormones I had in pregnancy.  I cried and was ill...  but then all of a sudden the Sunday before I had surgery on Tuesday a calm just came over me.    I knew I had a good surgeon and was making the best change for myself.  No regrets =)  I hope you find your calm...and I hope you get your approval soon.

Thanks, Kelly.  I am sure it will pass, I am always nervous for the build-up of anything and fine when the time rolls around (like climbing to the top of a hill on  a roller coaster is agony and going downhill is great!)  This is just a new experience and I like to have other people's references.

Hi, I have Aetna, and also work for Aetna.  I don't know if you did the 3 month supervised diet or the 6 month.  Which ever one, just make sure you have documentation of every appointment, and that it included how you discused diet and exercise.

Wow!  You are super awesome to have around this board and all the insurance questions that come up.  I think all of my documentation is good, and I have way more than the minimum number of months.  I am just ready to find out!
