BIG HUGS TO YOU ANN,
I dont know much about sizes but dont forget some of us who are still working towards the magic number 8.
Meaning I would be happy to have any 16's you want to part with.
Saying 16 is a dream come true for me.
I am so proud of you.

It is never too late to be what you might have been.?

You have come so far to this side of the healthy equation that I can only marvel at how you do it! You out do me in the exercise department everyday and continue to amaze us all and inspire us all here. I bet the 14s I am bringing to the meetup will fit you so I am going to have you try them on. I am happy to have you be proud of me but I want you to know we all are completely inspired by you and very proud you call us friend.

I think that a lot of it has to do with your height and how you carry your weight too, because I know that even though I am now down to the same weight that I was when I got married 15 years ago, my body looks totally different than it did on my wedding day.  My proportions have changed drastically, probably mostly from having 2 babies!  My weight has shifted so that I actually have more of a waist now, but my belly and hips (see previous sentence re: babies!) are much bigger, and we won't even start in with the boobs!  I think that we just have to worry about ourselves and how we feel about ourselves and our bodies and whether we are "healthy" without worrying about what some chart says is a "normal" BMI because it's going to be different for everyone.  I actually weigh the same as you (I'm 5'6", I don't know how tall you are, but I'm guessing that you're shorter than me because the chart says that i'm already down into just the 'overweight' category), but I am still only in a size 12 with an occasional 10 depending on the fit, and I am just now getting into a L shirt.  It's all just how we carry it, so don't worry about the numbers so much as how great you are feeling now.  I mean, before you started this process did you ever think you would be worried about ONLY being a size 8???  Keep it up and good luck to you!

At my very young age of 52 (yep you read it right) things are really shifted downward. Gravity and lack of filling has really made things funny to try to fit into. Plastics is not in my future so I have to learn to work with what I have and that is to allow my clothes to give me some shape that I no longer have. I am so happy to have achieved healthy that the rest is superfluous in this numbers game. Still I want the numbers to compute differently, at least in my brain.
