Hi Annemarie,

Congratulations on your weight loss! You have done a phenomenal job and your aren't done yet! Our beginning stats were pretty similar. My high weight was 264. I got down to 233 preop. My lowest weight was 132, but I now hover between 143 and 145 and that seems to be good for me. I felt and most people said I looked too thin in the lower 130's. You'll have to see what happens as you get there. It's very common to have about a 10 percent bounce back and that is what I experienced... It was a little scary... as you can imagine. We are so programmed into thinking that once we start gaining, we'll just keep on doing so. I have learned to 'manage' what I eat and do and have been able to keep my weight at a pretty healthy level.

I think that you look wonderful in your photos. I think that you will see a considerable difference as the next 20 to 25 lbs fall away. It's amazing that people seem to see those differences even more than the large amount of weight loss we experience earlier in our journey. I asked my SIL about this and she said she thought it was because it was in those last 20 to 30 lbs that my face shape changed so much. I think she's on to something there.

I hear that you are concerned about the excess skin issues and to be honest, I think most of us to one extent or another. I have found that I have experienced some level of 'redraping', but alas, I also have more excess skin that I wish I had. That said, to be honest, when I compare myself to most 'average' women ... not the actresses and models we see all the time... I find that I actually look better than average... I think you do too.

Keep up the good work and thanks for checking in. It was good to hear from you.

I also think you look great! Keep up the good work. Good luck with your gallbladder surgery and your traveling. I hope you will love Japan. Jackie
It is not the magnitude of our actions but the amount of love that is put into them that matters.
