Hi All,

Many of you know that my mother is seriously ill and used to live with me about half the year. Now she has decided to make Ca her permanent home and I escorted her back last month.

It's been a bittersweet trip. As many of you also know, my dear husband Ben was laid off in Jan of this year and has yet to find a job... though he has been looking high and low... at any rate, since he's not working, I don't know when I'll be able to see her, my sons or my in-laws again. That said, I'm truly grateful to have had the opportunity to take her home, spend time with my inlaws, my sons, daughter-in-law and my son's fiance. I was able to meet Ani's family and we are blessed in so many ways. I prayed that Mike would find a match as good as the one Chris found with his lovely Christine and he has! Ani and her whole family are warm, loving, considerate and welcoming. They have embraced my son as one of their own and warmly welcomed me and my daughter.

I miss my kids and family already, but I'm glad to see Ben again... It's been a long trip.

I hope to see many of you at the upcoming Raleigh Area Get Together.

All the best,

Barbara

Hey Barb, glad to see you made it back to God's Country :-)  We missed you.  I know it was hard leaving your Mom but you should take comfort in knowing that  you provided for her over the past months and that you had that precious time with her.  Not many people have that opportunity.

Hope all is well with Ben and that he finds a job very soon.  tell him hello for me.
