Having my coffee with some vanilla flavored protein! I survived! Where is my T-shirt???

I like regular coffee, nothing fancy, no flavors or extras but I figured it would be a good way to try adding in some protein.

Bought some vanilla soy protein last night and stirred it into my coffee this morning. It mixed in great; no clumps which would have immediately turned me off.

I put the lid on and ignored it a few minutes, then wanted to sip and stared at it a few minutes.

Scaredy cat! Not bad at all....

Hopefully this will help me boost the protein intake and make that mean ole scale move! My clothes are falling off me left and right and the scale could care less!

Thanks to all for the great advice on the protein powders. I am going to continue to try it!

I never liked coffee prior to WLS - in fact I thought it was NASTY!! Now I can't get enough of it. I love iced coffees when it's hot out and I've tried the CLICK espresso protein powder ( I love it) but man is it expensive. There is a much cheaper alternative - instant coffee.

You can use regular, decaf or the fancy SF flavored stuff.  Yesterday afternoon at work I mixed GNC cookies and cream protein powder, instant coffee, non fat powdered milk, a splenda, some ice and filled the blender bottle up with water. OMG!!!!! I ended up with like 40 grams of protein and 11 grams of sugar the way I had it mixed. It was amazing.

In the evenings, David has always been an ice cream eater but he agreed to humor me by trying my smoothie creations - now he's hooked. His favorite is NF Vanilla yogurt, SF Decaf French Vanilla International delights instant coffee, with a little extra nf powdered mil**** and a little water. OMG - it's a little heaven in a blender.

The combinations are almost endless. This afternoon I'm playing with chocolate protein powder, coffee and yogurt. hmmmmmmm..............
