Just When You Thought I was Done...Couch to 8K
Ok I have messed around for about 2 weeks trying to get some ideas from you and others about what to do next for exercise. Thanks for the suggestions!
Now don't get me wrong, I have been exercising everyday with 1 day of rest so I have not goofed off, but I have not been exercising with a structured plan in mind.
I'll admit I have been bitten HARD by the running bug! I do like running, just hate exercising.
What's the difference? In my mind, running is fun, not exercise, plus I get a boost from running that no other type of exercise I have ever done in my life gives me. Exercise bike, Richard Simmons tapes galore, Leslie Sanson walking tapes, Tae Boo tapes, even classes at the gym. Now I will say I loved the elliptical when I did the gym thing a couple of years ago. I may invest in a gym quality one for home.
So stopped playing around and today I started couch to 8K. I immediately noticed that I ran with more purpose and worked harder than I have over the past 2 weeks. I got a little slack not having a schedule so while I was running, I was not pushing for a faster pace or longer distance.
So I am off again and I will be posting to get an update on your progress in your wls journey! Roll on fellow losers!

We went out for dinner last night... OH BOY, did i ever mess my myself up!!! I had a glass of wine and 2 (yes.... count 'em....TWO) slices of italian bread dipped in olive oil and spices... by the time my dinner got there, i had no room to eat it.
So my dinner consisted of bread & wine... no protein... and i was sick all night. I've turned into a carbaholic/sugaraholic and MUST turn myself around before i fatten myself up into a BIG FAT BLOB!!! AGAIN!!!
So, i'm going to use you as an inspiration. Thanks for all the positive posts
I have to admit the bread and olive oil sounds so good! Carbs are always my downfall.
You put the brakes on so no blob coming your way!
Not sure I am inspiring anyone but just posting about where I am cause I am struggling in other areas. I just rather focus on the half full glass than the half empty part.
My exercise is finally where it needs to be so gotta focus on my food. Not eating enough and still not getting in enough protein.
Going to try some protein powder to see if I can stand it. I so hated it right after surgery and have not tried it since. Once I figure that out, I think I gotta go back to logging my food. Mind set is not there to do that yet so struggle on I will!
And I will not mention how much water I am NOT drinking in a day...

Thxs for sharing your struggles we all have them.
After reading your post I thought IF ONLY I COULD EAT ANOTHER SLICE OF LOBSTER PIZZA.
Me and a good friend went to Red Lobster today I ordered a Lobster Pizza.
The crust was so thin very much like a cracker.
Had my 2 slices one coconut shrimp END OF STORY.
I have found that my head is always telling me I can eat this and that and even more of this.
No matter how bad I think I can eat more it isnt going to happen.
So I try to be happy with hat full feeling and accept I will never be able to eat like I used to.

Stan & I both use GNC 100% Whey protien powder... unflavored. i mix it with tropicana light sugar free orangeade... it tastes like a creamsicle. 2 scoop is 42 grams of protein. its' goood. They have other flavored protein too, but i never tried them. The GNC is the only one i've ever tried that was REALLY unflavored and didn't have any weird after taste... and i think i've tried them all.
