I Did it Outside!

Although Friday was a holiday, it was not a rest day from working out.

As I was preparing for my run on the treadmill, DH decides he is going to go outside and walk around doing some Tai Chi. I asked if I could go with him and he said come on. I ran my intervals outside for the first time!

They say running outside is different and I'll agree. It did not seem harder but I had way too much control of my pace. I think I ran slower at times than I would have on the treadmill since that keeps my pace.

I am way beyond music keeping my pace as I run to slow and fast songs. I can sing a song at one tempo yet run at a faster tempo.  Anyway, I enjoyed the run outside. Seemed like there was so much to focus on that I did not care about the time like I do on the treadmill.

Was I sore Saturday! Not like I thought I would be. I have a little soreness in my upper thing bone right where it connects to your pelvis (go figure) and that is it.

So I gave my neighbors a good laugh as the fat girl walked/ran thru the neighborhood. Still doing my 5am runs as I like getting my workout in to start the day, but I cannot wait until I venture outside again. It was a nice change of pace!

If I am gonna eat   like a fat girl, then I gotta workout   like a skinny girl!

The tittle was better than the story!

You know when I finished typing it I thought about adding ...'and it's not what you think'.... so I get cha!

Thanks for my laugh!
