I have a sinus infection and am on an antibiotic. I really hope I am better by Tuesday and surgery does not get cancelled. Please keep your fingers crossed and say a little prayer for me! I was afraid this was going to happen.

Just keep taking your antibiotics and by the 7th your infection will be cleared up! Take a decongestant too and it'll clear up faster. Trust me, been a nurse for 25yrs. My surgery is also on the 7th in Hickory. Wish you all the best this world has to offer.

I do hope you are feeling better soon and almost well by Tuesday. Drinks lots of liquids to keep yourself well hydrated. Rest when you can. Dr. Naziri will also be my surgeon hopefully in Sept. Best wishes for a successful surgery and recovery. Jackie

Hi Connie,

I hope that you'll be feeling better soon, I hope that you'll give your Dr a call and see if they have any suggestions for you. I'm sure that they will keep your best interests at heart and will do the best they can to either keep you on schedule or reschedule you soon if that is in your best interest.

Wishing you all the best,

Barb

I went through this very same thing and did end up rescheduling but now I am glad that my surgeon and PCP did not take any chances with my health and it all worked out in the end. I have had no complications so far and am over 9 months out now. It sucked having to wait a few extra weeks but now I can say it was probably worth it. I know how it feels to be concerned about having to put the surgery off since its an all consuming thing preparing, getting approval, getting the date, and then waiting for it. Your day does get here soon enough (even though it doesn't feel that way before) and you will begin living a whole new type of life after. The bench will still be there for you I promise.

If you're not feeling back up to par by Monday you may want to call the office and let them know.  I, however, think you'll be fine.  Will you finish the antibiotic before your surgery?  If not, what day will you be on?

Good luck!
