Problems with raw veggies/fruit?

I have thought about PS but I just do not want to be put under anisthesia again. The hernia surgery was #6. The Dr. removed 5lbs of skin then but since she was not a PS she was afraid to take more. I could prob. have 5 or more lbs more removed but I just can't make myself do it. My DH loves me like I am so if he can love my loose skin I guess I will learn to deal with it. Bali suport tummy flattening undies and spanks in the winter help me to look ok in clothes. I also have batwings but they look like old lady batwings.......hey I am 55 ....that is pretty old. But if it was not the dread of being put out for the 7th time I would jump right on the PS wagon. I was watching the PS message board a lot but not now. You can find out a lot of info good and bad there. I am sure if you had it done you would be pleased. The 5lbs removed from, me made a big differance.
Keep me posted on your progress.  Do you go to support meetings? If so which ones.. I would like to chat with you about our similar places  on the wls road.

i had my surgery on 12/19/07... so we're all around the same time out. i can eat everything and i DO eat everything... i try to make sure i eat the protien first.... but  to be really honest... that doesn't always work.  I amaze myself at how much i can actually eat.  And i'm not happy about it... i seem hungry... alot.  Or i at least i think i am.. but wonder if it's not the "fat girl" showing her chubby face and making me eat just to eat without actually knowing if i'm hungry. 

I'm still weighing in the 160's too, but would LOVE to get to the 140's or 150's.  I can seem to do it.  I seem to be stuck here now for a couple of months.  But... and here's the BIG BUTT!!!  i just plain eat too darn much and i KNOW that i eat too much and the wrong stuff. BUT I CAN'T SEEM TO STOP MYSELF.

OMG>>>> last night i at 15 (YES...15) cookies!!!!!  very thin ginger crisps... but stilll... 15 COOKIES!!!!  YIKES!!!  I'M REALLY SABOTAGING MYSELF!!! .... Sorry... i get wound up... i didn't mean to turn this into a rant about me. 

I really just wanted to say that i think we're mostly all going thru the same things, feeling the same fears, enjoying the same benefits.   And i think we would all agree... we're very thankful for this journey we're on... and the life it's given back to us.

Try puting your snacks in the small size snack baggies. Or if you can it sugar (I Can't) get individual portions like the 100 cal packs.
I try to visualize portions but I may go back to the measuring cup. I can eat more also....in some foods but I try to keep a  handle on it. It is flustrating sometimes especially when you see others that seem to be getting to a lower goal. But just think how far  we have come.  Plan your snacks in the little bags and containers and put that bag of cookies where it is inconvient to get to them. Never hold the bag or eat the cookies while you are holding the bag. I don't mean to sound like i am preaching cause I am stuck also.  I just want to help.

Thanks for the help and suggestions.... I appreciate it.  We're all in the same boat... it will be a struggle forever.  i'd like to think that since a have a little pouch i can fill it with cookies and pretzels, and still lose weight like i did the first year,   I just need to slap myself every once in a while to get myself back on track.

I also find that when I slip away from logging on this site that I tend to eat more things that I shouldn't.  Staying in touch with others who are in the same place we are really helps me to keep my focus on the end goal... and that is better health as I grow older, no matter what the scale or clothing size says. 

I have gone to workout 2 mornings this week and hope to get back tomorrow when I get off work.  I'm going to try to add 30 minutes of walking at lunch most days instead of sitting in the lounge and watching the Young and Restless!  If I'm ever going to get this last few pounds off, it's going to take more exercise and avoiding those bad carbs.
