Things are going well but I'm scared...
Wendy,
Make up your mind to do what you have to such as listen to your pouch always when you get full stop.
The way I look at it for myself is I have been physically altered I dont plan on returning to eatting the way I used to.
So many times I tell myself Oh You Can eat All Of That but in the end the pouch rules.
I wish you lots of luck and glad to hear you are doing ok.
Annie

Hi Wendy,
What you are feeling is quite common. I still feel that I have failed and even think about revision even though I have lost so much weight. I am certain that I will regain it all.
What I can say is this> there is no way you can "beat" this surgery the first year... you WILL lose the weight. The trick is keeping it off and that will require lifestyle changes. My sugeon said exercise was key to getting it all off and keeping it off. I am certain my lack of "success" is due to the fact that I don't exercise and have a very sedentary job. Also, I am a "grazer." Another big no-no. While at work, I graze all day long. Healthy things, mind you, but still pushing in the food all day long which adds up the calories. When I am home alone, it is not so bad.
On the plus side, I do take my vitamins religiously. And I still do protein shakes all day long to keep my hunger levels down. (Ha1 Probably could lose a few pounds if I gabe them up! Although I am told otherwise...)
You will lose the weight this first year, Wendy. Long-term success will depend on lifestyle changes. All the best to you!
