WLS seminar
Hi A,
I have Medicare and the rules are pretty close, so I had to do the 6 month medically supervised diet as well. I have to say that for me, it was a good thing. I didn't see it as an impediment, but rather the beginning of my journey. I actually lost weight on that part of my journey. It didn't really surprise me though. I had been able to lose weight before... I'll bet you have too. My problem was that I could never lose enough weight and I couldn't keep it off. Now I have. You might see my thread I started today called 'A new way of looking at things'. I think that when you look at that diet and the surgery and all of the other changes you will be making as things that you are doing FOR yourself, instead of what you or others are doing TO you, you find the journey easier. I know I have.
I am wishing you every success. It sounds like you are starting off with the right frame of mind... and that, my dear is likely to make you very successful at not only losing the weight, but ultimately keeping it off... and keeping it off is the true measure of weight loss success.
Wishing you all the best,
Barbara
