Thanks to all your kind words and encouragement. He will be coming home from hospital in a day or two. His aneurysym has not ruptured. We will be following up at Duke for surgery to repair this. It is a blessing from God that they found this because they were not even looking for that, they happened to stumble across it with tests looking for something else. I am ready for this to be behind us, and I know he is too. Pray that he will have the strength to quit smoking. To me its a no brainer, but I know for him it will be hard, he is a heavy smoker.

You and your husband will definitely be in my prayers. I am sorry this has happened but like you said, glad they found it and hopefully it can be treated successfully.
I know this is stressful especially at this time. I wish him success in quitting smoking. Maybe he could try Chantix. It has helped my son and a friend of mine quit smoking.
If I can do anything please call me. You know where I am.
Love, Jackie

That is great news!  Duke is where my hubby had his aneurysym repaired.   He has nothing but great things to say about Duke and says he wouldn't have wanted to be treated any place else.

Good luck to you and your husband.  I will keep you both in my prayers.  Thanks for the update and keep us informed.

Hugs,
Donna

Dear Michelle, So sorry to hear about your husband. I will keep you both in my prayers. I hope for the best outcome possible. After you have your surgery, you will be able to eat carbs eventually, but if you fill up on them you may not get in enough protein, which is so important. Keep us informed on how your husband does. All my best, JoAnn
