I just went to my 1st "class" on thursday, and I was wondering how long it took for everyone to get their packets in the mail with their appts on it?

wow that has changed, i had to set up all my appointments. I had to wait until after i saw their nut then i expland that there was a nut on base that i would be using because she was FREE!!!!
so i'm not sure, like i said i was the one who set up all my pre op appointments. that is so nice of them to set it all up for you.
i hope you get it soon, sometimes if you let them know your on a time crunch they will try to get things done faster.

Hey girl! Yeah I went to the class, and they told us that we would be getting something in the mail with all our appointments made, and if we needed to change them we could call that person and change them. Im not allowed to see any NUT but theirs, so I have to pay the fee for seeing a NUT because tricare will not cover that. But other then that Im just sitting here waiting... Its like the Marine Corps... "Hurry up && Wait" lol.

NOOOOOOOO don't see their nut, go to the first appointment with their nut and, then call and tell Bobby Lou that the base has a nut and get reffered to her. They can not make you see their nut. I saw her that one time paid $200.00 bucks and i was like screw this...
Had my PCM refer me to the nut on base. She just faxed them things when they asked for it
so don't think you have to see their nut.
i'm glad they took over the process of setting up appointments for you. that was a pain in the A$$ for me to get done and work full time while my husband was gone. so yeah that is a nice added on bouns.
Get to know Bobby Lou she is Dr.mac's nurse and right hand man well woman. If you have any questions call and ask for her or her voice mail. She will get back to you. She is a very nice person. i like her alot.
I had a really long uneventful day in Raleigh so i'm tired.

take care just remember you don't have to see their nut, call your PCM tomorrow and let them know you need to be reffered to the Nut on base.If they ask ***** about how tricare won't cover the one out in town, and you should be allowed to see the nut on base as any person is allowed to see them. i did that and in two days i was hooked up with our nut.
She has now left and we all left hanging.. so yeah i do ok some days with food, and then others i don't.

I wonder if things have changed because while in the class she said that some insurences will not cover a NUT visit, and you cant go see anyone but theirs. Is it still different for us? Ill ask her that would be great. because I dont really have alot of extra money. I know 200.00 isnt much, but hell your a military wife you know! lol. Yeah I was pretty excited about them making the appts, I was going to call and ask to be put on any cancelation lists so I can get things going. I just wanna get this done like yesterday lol... Bobby Lou seemed super nice! I really liked her.

I didnt know it was fixed! Thank god. I have been emailing back and forth with the tech people to try and get it figured out. Goodness I thought I was going to have to make a new page.

My surgeon, Dr. Mann is with southern surgical and after that class, it took about a week or 2 to get my appointments. But they was back to back so things went by fast. You chose a good team practice. I can't talk for Dr. Macdonald, but Dr. Mann was and still is awesome!! I love him.

Thank you! Im really looking forward to getting all my appointments set up! I loved everyone I met so far from southern surgical, they are so nice, and just make you feel so welcome, and family!

I got my packet in the mail today from Southern Surgical, and the Pulmonary Evaluation Appt is scheduled for OCT 1st!!! Thats forever away! I called to get a better day, and they said they are booked! They put me on a wait list, but said that noone ever cancels, because its so hard to get into there! Anywho my question is on the paper I got it lists 2 other Doctor offices that do the Pul. Eval. I dont know if I can go to another doctor or not? I called southern surgical and they forwered me to Debbies voicemail, and Ive been waiting all day, and I want to be doing something about this... What do you think?

I love me some Southern Surgical. It was a little over a week before I had my sheet with all of my appointments set up. The girls in the office made everything very simple for me. My dirve to GVegas is over 2 hours so they consolidated as many as possible.

Thank you! Im excited tog et everything started. I didnt even get the pack in the mail yet, and I got a phone call an hour ago from the Phyc office requesting me to come in tomorrow for my test! yay.
