I Gotta Peep Show Going On...

It's true!

I went to a work retreat Friday afternoon and then to church Friday evening. Casual top and jean skirt. Well the casual top was a size 26/28. I started the journey wearing a 30/32. I am now a true 18/20 sliding into a 14/16.

Needless to say the top no longer fits, especially in my shoulders, so my bra straps were performing for all to see!

I spent the day 'covering' myself as I very modest and save those peep shows for home. It stems from still having a hard time letting go of the old clothes and still gravitating to the larger sizes when I buy new clothes. Yes, 3 yrs later I am still in the store buying 22/24! That is the most comfortable my mind has come with letting go of the old me.

My last shopping trip yielded a mixed bag of sizes. I came home with sizes ranges from 18 to 22.

So the next time you see me, you may still be seeing a little more of me than I planned but I am working on it!

You are getting sleepy...Step away from the 22/24 ...Slowly walk to the 18/20....take a look at the 14/16....yes...yes...you can do it!

Hi Fionna!
First of all, I want you to know how much I appreciate your posts and their uplifting messages.  You are a blessing to everyone *****ads them.

Next, I can identify with your experience as far as purchasing clothes goes...  something that helped me a great deal was shopping at my local GoodWill store.  I didn't even try things on!  I would just load up a bag and head for the door!  This one thrift store I went to allowed us to fill up a bag with anything for only a total of $7!  I put stuff in there I never would have dreamed of buying.  When I got home, almost all of it fit!  AND looked good on me!  There are a few 6s that are hanging and waiting for me to try them on again...  and that is ok.  One day I hope to be able to wear them as well!

Hope this helps!  Have a wonderful day!

Thanks for the encouragement Suzanne!

Believe it or not, I do the same thing in Goodwill! But I will say when I am in Goodwill I usually 'review' my clothes before I checkout and I think if I really want what I picked out and I check the sizes again. I do not do this in Cato's.

Maybe I have gone from mindless eating to mindless shopping!

Thanks for the revelation!

Old Valerie goes in the store and looks for the largest size. Smaller Valerie takes it home and 'pins' it up anyway she can! Thus the 'peep' show is on!

Note to self...notice that you whined about exercising, not about showing your goodies!

Have a great day Suzanne!

I know what you mean about having a hard time buying smaller sizes.
Saturday I bought a new sports like bra top I reached for XL put it back and got LARGE OMG do you know it feels a little big now I am totally confused on do I buy a medium next???
Going back to walmart today to get Lee's meds and hope to buy another top and maybe will think about a medium OMG uncharted territory for me not sure how to act.

I am really sacred of the letter sizes!

The more x's I see the better I feel!

Thanks for sharing your 'wow', One day I am going to  surprise myself and try a XL or L.

I just posted about my wardrobe malfunction on Sunday - I'm still trying to  Embarassing but a WOW all the same.

Happy hunting - I love the Thrift stores.

I saw it and it tickled me! I thought I was alone!

I am loving the thrift stores too! Went Friday and wore a dress to church yesterday that I bought.

This dress had no labels so I had totally guess if it would fit. It did and no peep show!

Hmm maybe I do better at guessing with no hints from the tag versus having a tag and guessing anyway!

I am twisted....
