Best WOW moment yet (sorta long)

Okay so the scales haven't moved lately but the body is doing some major "relocating" and it shows in the measurements. I've been wearing 16's for a while and have toyed with the idea of trying on some smaller size clothes. (especially my shorts)

Well this was the weekend that I got to meet David's family. I've been a nervous wreck for weeks about it (so it's taken the attention away from the dang scales). So I met his Mom on Saturday. we had dinner with one of his sisters Saturday night then I met one of his brothers Sunday. We were loading a truck full of furniture and I was helping load a matteras and box spring into the back of the truck. I jumped up there and had both hands occupied when I started to feel a rather strange sensation. My shorts (size 16's) had fallen down around my ankles. And guess what I was wearing - besides a strange smile ??  Orange bikini underwear. No I was not so lucky that it went unnotcied by David's entire family but I swear I think I caused an accident judging from the amount of horn honking. So if you were near Albemarle, NC on Sunday morning around 8 am - yes that was me - 

I just laughed it off and kept on going but damn I gotta go spend money on shorts - NOW.

 

and I thought I was the only one with a PEEP show going on!

I have not stopped any traffic so you one upped me!

Glad your body is still giving you indications that you are losing although the scale is not. Good to get the affirmation in some way to help you stay motivated.

How funny is that!!!  I love it!  What a way to break into the family.  Good luck finding some good, cheap shorts!

There is nothing more endearing to any family than a terribly funny story to tell. You probably made it in to his family's legends. Now you are going to have to stick around to enjoy the telling of the story for years to come. Congrats on the inches lost. Its always a cool thing to have going on even when the scale thinks it's denying it! LOL!

Iris~~Congrats on the continued success with your weight loss surgery. 

I am in the same boat as you as far as clothes.  I went to Rugged Warehouse and got about 5 pair of shorts.  They were $4.99 each.  If you have never shopped at Rugged Warehouse you can get name brand clothes for great prices.  Some of these shorts were Venezia (Lane Bryant), Caribbean Joes, and some brand that is carried by Belks.
