1 week post-op :)

Hi Folks! Well, I had my sx last week 6/10 Band to RNY revision. WOW! Things went well with the sx no problems with the revision :) Post-op in the hosp I was pretty looped for the first 2 days for sure...which was fine with me since I dont remember any PAIN...lol Leak test went fine except that HORRIBLE taste! EWE...no amount of pain meds could make me forget that! YUCK!
So, I got the OK to start slowly with some fluids...everything was fine until late that night...nausea kicked in with it's friend Dry Heaves...not fun! So, went back to no fluids per Dr. The phenergan barely kept things even. No discharge for me for me on Fri as planned since I couldnt take fluids. Sat Dr. said to try again VERY slowly. Yup, things went well and I was able to do some light fluids and was DISCHARGED! I came home Sat feeling really much better than I can say I did with the band? Strange? So things have been pretty good :) My one week appt. went well and I was given the OK to progress to full fluids...woo hoo! Soups are my friend now...

Soup is still my best friend to this day.
I have a new friend well actually two new friends they are cottage cheese and most any kind of bean.
I was putting up groceries and I picked up a can held it next to my face looked at DH and said BEANS ARE OUR FRIENDS.

LOL Annie! I made a Black Bean soup the other day...yummy! Cant wait for some cottage cheese next week :)

Whew!  I was worried about you, girl!  About a week ago I put up a post asking about you and then really got worried when I didn't hear anything!  So glad things are going well for you!  You will be so pleased!  Congratulations!
