GREENVILLE PLASTIC SURGERY

I am two years out and at my check up Dr. Naziri suggested that if I was interested, now would be a good time to pursue reconstruction surgery.  He made several suggestions as to doctors he felt he could recommend. 

WELL, today I finally got up the nerve and since I was in Greenville I stopped by Greenville Plastic Surgery to make an appointment for a consult and to pick up some information about reconstructive surgery post bariatrics.   I was very sad to find out that they don't accept insurance and they don't file insurance AND they will not help you will file for prior approval. It is only a cash as you go "cosmetic surgery".   I was so disappointed. 

I am sorry about your news. I have been thinking alot about plastics myself. However I am pre op so I got a ways to go yet. Hoping to get a date in July or no later than Aug. with Dr. Naziri. I had breast reduction 5 years ago with Greenville Plastic Surgery, and I must say I have been very satisfied. Dr. Garrison was great. I was turned down by insurance, went and got a personal loan, had the surgery and later fought the insurance company (cigna) about it being medically necessary, and they paid. At least they did submit it for me to insurance. Not sure why that would have changed. Looks to me it would make it bad for business. Or maybe they already know its a no win situation with ins. companies. I mean I got my letter from BCBS. It was a one sentance paragraph re: my approval. The next paragraph was 15 sentences long re: how they are not gonna pay for any skin removal. Haha. Good luck to ya!
