Bliss in a Magic Bullet
OK - I got a magic bullet last year prior to surgery and I have played with it on a regular basis. Today I can say that I have perfected my banana protein shake - to the point that it's more like banana ice cream.
The recipe looks like this:
1 banana - sliced thin and frozen
1 scoop of GNC Banana Creme Protein
4 Tbsp. half and half
2 packets of splenda (the banana wasn't on the "overripe" side before I froze it)
1 container of Fage Yogurt (I used 2%)
Put everything in the magic bullet and blend.
Mine came out really thick and creamy so that you needed a spoon to eat it. I made 4 servings out of the batch. OMG!!!!!! I'm in heaven. Of course it's been a year since I had ice cream and this seems to be "IT" as far as I'm concerned. Plus homemade banana ice cream was always the summer time favorite for me and my Dad.
Nutrition Info according to the Daily Plate looks like this (for a 1/4 of the batch)
127 calories -- 2.5 g fat -- 16.5 carbs -- 9.75 g sugar -- 11 g protein

I love, love, love my bullet. Actually I have 2 of them (one at home and one at work). The only reason I have 2 is because my Mom found one for me at the thrift store or a yard sale one. Honestly though a good full size blender that will crush ice is just as good and quite a bit more affordable
My Mom played with my recipe last night and used overripe peaches and Food Lion Non Fat peach yogurt instead of Fage - she's in blender heaven too. I think the possibilities are almost endless. Hmmmmmm................................
