Half the man I used to be...

Got on the scale today and realized today was the day I hit my 200lb lost post surgery mark.  Total lost to date 230.5 lbs.  Its pretty darn awesome to be half the man I once was.

Still working towards reaching goal.  Got a little ways to go but I know I will get there.  Funny thing, just when you think you've hit the bottom of the weight loss barrel, there go another few lbs.  Of course, I have no complaints in that department.  As long as the pouch continues to do its job, I am a  happy camper.

Starting to pursue plastics now.  Its still early but the insurance fight will no doubt rage on for a bit.  Hopefully right at  around the time they give up, I will be just about where I want to be to have the excess skin removed.

And today was the day I finally saw the 'new' me.  I happened to get my drivers license renewed and when I compared the 2 pictures, it hit me like a sack of bricks.  I just couldn't believe the difference.  I swear I don't recognize the person in the old photo.

All in all, I'm a happy camper.  Thanks to you Dr. Mac for giving me my life back and thanks to all of my OH friends for giving me the support to tackle this adventure one day at a time.

Congratulations Dalton.  You've made great progress. I know I'll be happy too when I can lose 1/2 a person.  Enjoy your new life.

Dalton you look great!

Congratulations on your progress and milestones!

Thanks for continuing to share your experiences. Your last piece of advice on the Biotin dosage helped my scale get to moving! Can't wait to see how my hair reacts.

If I am gonna eat   like a fat girl, then I gotta workout   like a skinny girl!

Congrats, Dalton... you are certainly fighting the good fight!!! You should be very proud of yourself for the gift you've given yourself and your family.  Keep up the good work.  Certainly Stan & I can see the difference in just the year since we've known you... you ARE a new man!!!

Cant wait to see you and the family on Saturday.
BTW I was thinking about Gumbo today that sure was some good stuff you brought to dinner.
I would have Matt make it but he is off to Charlotte to a comicbook con this weekend.
Just in case you got some to spare maybe you could bring me a small bowl on Saturday.
