2 days post-op

Well, I made it through surgery and I guess you could say I am doing well. I got to come home the next day and I've been up and moving around fairly well. Dr Enochs did get my gallbladder out while he was in there so at least I shouldn't have to worry about that anymore. My only worry is that I'm sooo full of "gas" that I don't feel any signs of hungry and feel like there is NO room to put ANYTHING in. I am also dreadfully afraid of being sick since I am sooo sore. I'm worried that I'm not getting enough fluid in. Is this normal post-op and what should I do???? Thanks for all the pre-op prayers! Now let the JOURNEY begin:)

Every Dr. is different with their after surgery care. Just follow instructions and you'll be fine. Sip-sip-sip!

How exciting.  I called you yesterday.  I am glad you got to go home sunday.  Sorry you are hurting, but I know after my other lap surgeries you do feel gassy and I always had chest and shoulder pain.  Just sip and you will do great.  Did you get some isopure?

So glad to hear that your surgery went well.  I'm 10 days out from surgery with Dr. Enochs also.  Yes, I had that gas pretty bad the first several days but it has decreased so much.  I felt the same way - that I could never drink enough.  Just had to keep sipping.  Have to admit that I didn't get enough protein in every day, but each day is getting better!!  It will for you too!!
