Exciting News
The most exciting news I have to share is that my life after weight-loss surgery is so much more fulfilling! No longer watching life go by, I am LIVING it and with every passing day I can say that I am that much closer to living it to the fullest. I know those of you who are post-op understand exactly what I mean.
I’m 10 days out from my hernia repair and still healing. Will be so glad when the swelling goes down and the pain/itching are gone. I finally reached -70 pounds lost…-71 this morning to be exact! I’ve gone from my all-time highest weight of 332 to my pre-RNY weight of 285 to my weight today of 214. I am so thankful!
There are times that I forget that I’ve even had RNY. I can drink, eat, and do just about anything/everything else “normal." No small sips, just normal drinks. I never had trouble with eating too fast or chewing too little before so that’s not an issue for me now either. I don’t deny myself any foods, I just try to make healthy choices the majority of the time and I eat my “treats" occasionally in moderation, exactly as I did pre-op. Difference now is that those eating habits work at losing weight!
One other piece of news that I have to share is that I am going to be MIA for awhile online. Need to take some time-out for myself and my family, which I again know you will all understand exactly what I mean! We have some pretty major things we are pursuing and trying to accomplish right now so I am going to give those my full focus and time. Hopefully we’ll have some even more exciting news to share by the end of the year!
For all of my dear, post-op friends…I hope you take the time to enjoy every moment you’ve been given to live this new life. To all of you who are pre-op…I wish you the very best in your journey toward health and happiness. Take heart, there IS hope! My love to all! {{{Big Hugs!!!}}}
