OT We could use a few prayers...

As many of you know, my DH, Ben was laid off in January when he returned to work following his own RNY. Ben is a hardware and software te*****al writer with 30 years of experience. He has only had 1 interview since being laid off in January. To be quite honest it's been getting pretty scary, if you know what I mean? 

Well, in the past week he got two calls. One from a 'head hunter' for a contract position and the other from an HR representative for a direct position. He is submitting work samples for the client to review for the contract position and he has a phone interview scheduled Monday afternoon for the direct position. He's working all weekend trying to be prepare for the interview.

I thank G-d for answering our prayers and providing some positions for Ben to apply to. He is working hard to prepare for the interview. Now we need some prayers to move forward. I know that G-d only provides the opportunity and that we need to make the most of the opportunities provided. Ben is working hard to do just that. 

If you believe in the power of prayer please say one... or two. We need all the help we can get.

For the types of positions to which Ben applies, he's not likely to have any 'news' yet, but hopefully, he'll still be in the 'running.'

As you know, I'll be in CA next Saturday, but Ben will be there and I know that he will appreciate being surrounded by supportive, caring friends. 

You know I will keep you and Ben in my prayers too. It is scary isn't it? I will be sure to say hi to Ben Saturday and I will miss seeing you again this month. I hope the CA visit is for a happy reason.

Thanks... Actually, the trip to CA is mixed. I'm escorting my mom home for the last time. She used to live with me and for a variety of reasons has decided that CA is a better place for her. Her Dr's here have advised her that this is her last trip. With Ben not working, I don't know when I'll see her again. That said, I will be able to see my boys and in-laws and that will be nice.

I look forward to seeing you later this summer.
